Do yourself a favor and take the time to pull the airbag. Like everyone says, the factory wires are not long enough to pull out of wheel fully and connect. Easiest way for me was pull the airbag, there is a big space you can access now to hold the connector up with a screwdriver while you attempt to plug it in while pushing the switch into the wheel. Take your time. Very easy to bend a terminal and then it's all over! Your switch will be junk. The terminals are not secured well in the switch so you will break the connection trying to straighten it.
