Many RG6 connectors were crimped in their day and this version is by far the toughest. Nonetheless. I like the connection. I'm using an RG6 quad with a Klein stripper and crimping tools. I peeled off the first layer of foil and evenly distributed the second layer of wire. After I inserted the dialectic isolator into the barrel, it took a good 10 minutes for the plug to be fully inserted. I took the connector and pressed firmly onto the concrete, then rotated it and repeated this process about 30 times. I had to use a rubber grip on the lid of the jar so I could rotate the plug a little. I now have a rubber grip in my tool bag. However, when assembled and crimped correctly, the connection is the tightest I have ever achieved. I hope it gets easier with experience. UPDATE Based on the comment left: after putting on about 10 of these cables, they got easier to put on with experience, but they are still difficult with RG6 quad cable. This is because the cylinder is slid under the black sleeve and then the plug must be slid open until the insulator hits the ground. That means you need to slide the connector body about 1/4 to 1/2 inch under the black sleeve. I'm changing my rating to 5 stars because tight is good.
