We bought this to use with our transport company for a 1600+ mile round trip. On the way to our destination, we made an overnight stay in a hotel, where he spent the night in heavy rain (flood warning rain). The next day we drove another 5 hours of rain, very heavy in places. When unpacking everything was completely dry - not a drop of water in it. I can't think of a tougher test for this stretcher and I'm completely satisfied with it. It easily attaches to the trunk, securing with just the straps provided and is obviously waterproof. I highly recommend this product
