This might be perfect for small ears but I had to take them off after two songs and my ears were still hurting after an hour. I got them as a replacement for a very similar discontinued MDR-J10 which has a stiffer open loop suspension instead of a closed loop suspension. The MDR-J10 has no constriction at the hinge base and does not pinch. I can wear them for hours with much less irritation. The sound quality is better on this new set, so I'm tempted to just cut off the nasty piece of hanger rather than return it. This should also make dressing easier. Losing weight is not a problem. New ones slip off easily. Update: Notching the loop like the photo makes it easier to put on and relieves pressure. much more convenient now. They still hold up well, maybe even better. i keep them
