Review on Kohler 1131481 Hot Ultraglide Valve Assembly: Efficient and Durable Metallic Concealed Valve Solution by Stephen Johnson

Worked very well on the old widely used Coralais faucet from the early 2000's with no overflow. I was afraid it wouldn't fit, but it fit perfectly. Even though Kohler shipped leaky little valves with a lifetime warranty and I placed a vinegar soaked towel over the old valve for over 5 days, it was still impossible to remove the valve from the old assembly. I ended up puncturing the copper tubing attached to it so I had to order this complete aftermarket assembly to replace the whole thing. If you don't have a sink wrench, do yourself a favor and get a good one because you're going to need all the help you can to get the old assembly off. I used Rigid 2017 and it worked great. It's expensive and with all the necessary tools I paid about $100, but it's better than looking for a plumber during the COVID fiasco. The photo shows the old assembly next to the new one.
