I have the 1080p version of this camera and they actually look identical. I use it daily for video conferencing at work and it was really good for that. The camera requires no software and all you have to do to set it up is attach the protective cover and place it on the monitor. The cable is long enough to easily go from my desktop to the top of the display. I have used this with Cisco Webex, MS Teams, Google Hangouts and Facebook and it works very well. The video quality is much better than my 1080p camera and I like that the field of view is smaller (70 degrees) compared to the 1080p camera's 90 degrees, for video conferencing this is good as the background doesn't show too much. . As with my other Amcrest camera, the microphone works very well and I don't get any feedback even if I don't mute myself. The camera has a solid red LED that changes color to green when in use. If you're looking to upgrade to a higher resolution camera from a reputable company, I definitely recommend the Amcrest 4K webcam.
