I wanted to fall madly in love with them because they are made of bamboo and reusable. I have a terrible addiction to paper towels and am trying to slow it down so there is less waste. I like that they wash and dry easily and lather well with a little soap. I used them to clean my counters and didn't have much luck cleaning things like pancake syrup that dripped onto the counter and wasn't noticed until later in the day. I felt like I needed a good amount of elbow grease. However, the reason I took a star off them has nothing to do with how well they clean. I have an insanely strong sense of smell so that can be a problem, I just can't stand the smell when they're wet. am i the only one that stinks? I can't decide if it's just natural bamboo smell or something else. I can't use them for their intended purpose because of the smell. Not a musty smell at all, it's a different smell altogether and it kicks in as soon as a clean rag gets wet. Overall I would still give 4 stars.
