These plates are amazing! I bought these to replace our other bad smelling compostable dishes and also for occasional use when we don't want to throw away a good dish. Not only can they be reheated in the microwave (what the heck), they're sturdy, pretty, and you can add them to your compost pile when you're done with them! LOVE! In response to some of the other reviews: 1. YES, these panels will vary and some of them may be defective. Once these palm leaves fall from the trees, they are harvested, dried, and then formed into the different types of plates you see here. It's super natural so you should expect these plates to be the same! I personally think that bumps make plates even more beautiful!2. The panels are extremely strong and durable, but if you fold a panel in half, it will break in half. But who does that with their plates? Even when I opened it, I never smelled it. I kept them in the cupboard with other dishes and it still doesn't smell. And you can't beat an eco-friendly plate! Round trips, picnics, trips to events - BE A CHANGE with these eco-friendly plates.4. If you are composting them, the easiest way is to cut them into smaller pieces with scissors and then toss them in the compost. I've found that these plates break just as quickly as the food we throw away. Hooray! take your plates They are amazing!
