I was planning to replace a broken Sunco downlight with this product. I screwed on the spring clips but couldn't mount the device. I was confused because they looked like Sunco spring clips but didn't work. It takes an engineer to understand the problem, but the combination of spring wire gauge, number of spring coils, spring length, and adapter dimensions makes it a poor design. As for the length of the spring clips, I looked at the picture in the instructions and it seems to show a much deeper recessed attachment than mine. If your mount is flat and requires spring clips, this product may be difficult to install. This supplier may have good light, but they need to improve the spring clamp design.
