the cleaver just arrived this morning but I just had to try it. Firstly, the design and build is nice, the handle easily fits both large and small hands. The handle lies comfortably in the hand. Whether it was wet, wearing vinyl or nitrile gloves, or slimy with chicken juice, the grip was excellent and very secure. The best thing, however, is the sharpness of the blade. Right out of the box it was a close shave, I was able to shave clean some hairy patches on my arm although after slicing up the chicken and slicing up the onion, squash, zucchini and tomato it lost the sharp razor edge but it's still sharp enough . nothing can be repaired with a little sanding. Overall I'm very happy with the Cleaver and am considering getting the rest of the Shadow series. After a few months of playing around, my views might change, but for now I'm happy
