This handmade cotton paper is ideal for all types of watercolor painting. The surface is soft, like smooth flannel. It accepts both transparent and opaque colors, but you may need to create layers to create transparent colors, such as B. some transparent yellows. I applied the color with a wet brush and the paper took the color well and allowed for subtle color transitions. The paint can be removed very gently with a damp brush, but only rubbed very lightly, as touching the paper too hard also leaves patina and light spots. I didn't find it rolling off the surface. Overall, I like the nostalgic feel this paper evokes. My new favorite!
