SEMI-MONTHLY UPDATE: I really want this skillet, but it's starting to be one of mine It's nice and heavy and heats up constantly - not a problem, but pet annoyance #2 - I hate when cheap skinny pans get higher in the center than the edges.Try on a thin piece of oil foil fry - the edges are fine but the center of the pan is almost open so anything that gets roasted/burnt there doesn't get fried, this pan starts with that, my 3 year old Calphalon has never done this but all cheap pans do that I've ever had.******* Original Rating: Bought to replace a Calphalon 3 qt skillet which was starting to fall off after only a few years (also a larger model, not an easy one) Pros: - nice and heavy in a good way and Wise, heats up even if it doesn't look like it's warping - the non-stick coating inside is nice, hope it holds up as they claim - good grip - stainless steel and good grip, not too short and not stupid long - good grip on the lid was cooler than an old frying pan: - not as deep as the old frying pan, slightly higher than the frying pan (but with nice straight sides) - the silver rim of the lid isn't as nicely done as the rest of the frying Pan UPDATE - good pan for a few weeks. Compared to Calphalon, the handle is grippier (thicker) and the lid handle stays cooler.
