Yes. I really like this device and am so glad I took the plunge and bought it. I've had it for a few weeks now and I don't miss my Windows laptop one bit. I was concerned that my laptop had features that the Chromebook couldn't match. I haven't met any. Chromebooks don't come with optical drives or a hard drive with a lot of storage space. Also, you cannot download any third-party software like MS Office or TurboTax. There simply isn't room or processing power for it, let alone an operating system that supports it. The Chromebook comes with Chrome OS, a browser, and the ability to download apps from Google Play. Onboard storage is limited to 16-64GB, but Chrome is fully integrated with Google Drive (unlimited storage) and you can easily use an SD card or USB stick to access files offline. They also have significantly longer battery life than a typical laptop. You can easily use the online version of MS Office if your account is linked to a licensed copy of MS Office, or you can subscribe to Office 365 and most of the apps you will be using (like Turbotax) also have web versions. Anyway, let's get back to the ASUS C523 review. This is a great device. The C523 has a full-size 15.6-inch display, making it "look" like a regular laptop. It is fully integrated with all my Google resources. Mail, Google Drive, Youtube and I can access Netflix content through the Chrome browser or Chrome app. I can save files locally if I want, but I usually just save them to Google Drive. It's very portable and lightweight, so I can move it about as easily as a spiral notepad. What really strikes me is that it's "instant". I don't have to wait for a complicated boot process. I open the lid, enter my PIN and I'm there without delay. Updates are done in the background and I haven't had to reboot for one yet. It integrated with my (wireless) printer straight away. I haven't tried connecting the printer via USB, so I don't know if that will work. The only negative thing I have to say is the battery life. ASUS says you can get up to 10 hours of battery life. It is not true. Nothing about this device is economical enough to offer 10 hours of battery life. I'd say you can expect a MAXIMUM of around 5 hours just browsing the web or watching Netflix and keeping the display brightness as low as possible. I usually have to turn it on just after four o'clock; Still better than my laptop.
