Knives are items that are used all the time and we share the philosophy "Get the best for what you use most”. Buy inexpensive items for items you don't use often. We needed a paring knife to complete our collection. This paring knife is one piece and the handle is not round. design and my beef with the weight of the knife. Its handle is hollow (I think) but because it's such a short knife it doesn't really affect balance and handling. Part of the blade is also slightly different from the others, not a smooth finish but such that the grain runs along the width of the blade. The knife arrived well sharpened. It passed the paper test with flying colours. The case it came in is quite impressive and would make a lovely gift if someone wants to help a friend.
