It's all about the silhouette

When I opened the box and saw how tiny the unstretched waist was, I thought "they don't fit" but was very pleasantly surprised at how much they stretched, without losing weight. this of its form. Opacity (my legs bruise very easily from both dance class and everyday clumsiness, but you couldn't see either). And like many other reviewers, I tried them out after buying a pair of Capezios and having trouble with the unforgiving belt. This is where my experiences differ: I've had a significant weight loss (100+ pounds) over the past few years, so I have this extra skin around my waist that constantly gives me buns. If it was a size XL I think it would fit snugly around my waist without this issue, but M/L, while fitting well with everything else, still gave me that awkward silhouette at my natural waist. In order for them to work well and look good, I needed them, as did my pair of capezios, so I could wear them with a waist high enough to sit on my rib cage. And they did that by giving me the slim silhouette I wanted. Hooray! Now for comparison, the material is much softer and glides up my skirt rather than feeling like it's dragging like a pair of capezios. The soft waist also feels much nicer but is more likely to slip or roll with movement (hence deducting a star) while the Capezio waist was prickly to the point of pain after a few hours, never moving. I plan on wearing them at my next backup Capezio gig, so it's going to be a real challenge.
