My 5 year old has issues pulling back the slide / bolt on some of the nerf style guns! I love this dart gun! It looks very good! We got the red colored version (my kid's favorite color)! He now only has to push a lower button (below trigger to start the motor) and then pull the trigger. It doesn't shoot super fast (which is fine with me). It does pack some punch, so make sure to have some distance if you ever play person v person. We mainly target shoot. Would definitely buy again! Actually thinking of getting the blue version. Operates on rechargeable battery (charges via usb cable that is provided).
