I bought my 2000 Tundra new and after 30,000 miles the braking system started to have problems. It skidded down the road, vibrated excessively with the steering wheel under braking, and came to an abrupt halt at every stop I made. God forbid I had to stop in a hurry. I've tried new pads, ground rotors, even swapped rotors, whatever. But each time it was only a few weeks before I returned to SOS. Yes, I received advance notification from Toyota that they have upgraded the braking system and will put them on me with just one arm and one leg if I just bring them. They made the braking system too easy and want me to pay for their mistake? So after driving my truck 120,000km and almost all of it due to bad brakes, I finally broke down and installed a power stop kit on my truck. I've only driven it 5,000 miles since then, but for the first time in 10 years when I've driven it I can remember what it's like to drive a car with smooth running and braking.
