Received as a present for my one year old's first birthday. when he opened it. The games are still too advanced for him, but he loves to push buttons and "dance" to the songs. I didn't find the songs or the voice of the person in the toy disturbing at all (good quality in the toy haha) and the volume isn't too loud for me on a low setting. The only improvement would be the ability to disable the mode button when used with young children. If he trades her for games, he tends to lose interest quickly as he is unwilling to play with her in this way. This toy also has an automatic shut-off after two minutes of inactivity, but not before calling out, "Is anyone there?" several times. It makes me feel like this poor toy has a lonely existence and I'm a little annoyed that it distracts my child when it goes. All in all a great toy with fun lights, colors, sounds and games that I think we should get in a few years! With a few tweaks I would start giving this to anyone with a young child.
