Used on a 10 year old 2010 passport with a rusty latch that would not open. Replacing the shutter itself is fairly easy, but you'll probably need to replace some of the retaining clips on the shutter cover panel (these will inevitably break as the car gets old), and it's a bit more expensive at the Honda dealer. You'll also need to remove the hatchback's interior trim and make sure those clips stay in the same place - colors mean something and they cost a few bucks a piece if you lose one. Plenty of tutorial videos detail the process - if you're reasonably comfortable with the basic tools, you'll be fine.
