Review on Lowrance 000 0124 58 GB 20 Gimbal Bracket by Brian Finley

Let me start by saying that this review is not based on the quality of the Lowrance product but rather the lack of detail in the product description. I bought a Lowrance Elite 7 HDI and wanted an extra gimbal and transducer for another boat. The description states that this device is for all HDS-7 models. While this bracket is the correct step in assembling the head unit, the position/locking teeth on both columns do not align with the mating teeth on the Elite 7 head unit. I contacted Lowrance and they explained what bracket I needed. Unfortunately I needed a mount for a trip and couldn't wait 2 days for the correct mount to arrive so I was fortunate to find a local dealer who had the correct mount and saved the day. Now I have to return this unit and just wanted to notify anyone who might be trying to order the same mount as me. THIS WILL NOT WORK ON LOWRANCE ELITE 7 HDI
