Review on kampMATE WoodFlame Ultra Lightweight Portable Wood Burning Camping Stove: Top Choice for Survival Packs & Emergency Preparedness by Zachary Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Absolutely brilliant simplicity and amazing performance!

The main reason I bought this stove was to heat water to make soup or rehydrate freeze dried meals during daytime mountain hikes. All day from dark to dark. The nice bonus of this stove is that I can build a large fire that is very well contained but still puts out a lot of heat. A campfire is a great mood booster on a cold, rainy, or frosty day and I think KampMate can handle that with ease. The oven is a little heavy, but it doesn't pack anything. Compared to my oil or gas fired stoves, with kampMate I don't have to fiddle with liquid fuel or worry about running out of canisters. So actually, compared to my other ovens, really little weight loss. Haven't used the oven in the field yet (I've had it less than 24 hours so I've only used it once in my garden). . However, the quality of the material and the seemingly efficient fuel economy make me think it would be a great tool if things stayed the same. Ultimately, time and usage will tell. I am not affiliated with or remunerated by KampMate and I don't even know anyone who is affiliated with KampMate in any way. I paid the $29.99 Revain price, as did everyone else. So yes, this little oven is indeed a great piece of equipment and at a bargain price. I wish I had contacted a year ago!
