Certainly a fun pattern and I'm very glad I bought it, but I don't think (yes, just a thought) this is as effective as a water or mudflaps like the others. The "Ribbed Construction" is positioned so there aren't enough "ribs" to really mess up the dirt, and the Paw Print style has more patterns than the others. The wider gap between the raised ribs leaves more contact with the dirt you want to wipe away. Walking barefoot across a wet cement path, my feet weren't as dry as I'd like and I left wet footprints. I can say this because I've recently bought 3 different brands and they all get the same results. Paw print "combs", the pile is almost tight, does not bend under the foot. As for me, I'll probably move it under the dog bowls, although it's a bit big for my space. I want to like it more but I don't feel like it works that well. If it had a smaller repeat pattern it would help and could boost it to 4 stars.
