We use these inside to catch any remaining water or dirt - they are easy to keep clean and look great in our entryway and patio door. I highly recommend them. I like the width and length - they give us good coverage and don't slide at all. Ideal for small feet and dirty paws.

The color and pattern was exactly what I was looking for. True checkmate, however, was terrible. The top layer looks and feels like textured cardstock paper. Like a cardboard egg carton. Not only that, it was blistered in three different places. like cardboard when it gets wet. Of course, as a doormat, it would not withstand real wet boot traffic. Returned.

I like the quality of the carpet. But there is a design flaw in the Aztec design that makes the mat look damaged and blistered. When I received my order I thought the rug was damaged so I asked for a replacement. Well the 2nd carpet had the same bubbly look. This is how it should be in the pressing process. I keep rugs as they are durable but not as "beautiful" as I would like.

So I waited a while to review this mat to see how it holds up against the water compared to my LL Bean Capybara mat which costs twice as much. So far, I am very satisfied. It tends to shift a little, and it rolls a little (imperceptibly). The color is very light, I like it. It's very easy to clean (just vacuum, and when you want to wash it, just hose down and hang to dry). It dries quickly and keeps water off wet shoes. This is ideal for parquet floors. Certainly a fun pattern and I'm very glad I bought it, but I don't think (yes, just a thought) this is as effective as a water or mudflaps like the others. The "Ribbed Construction" is positioned so there aren't enough "ribs" to really mess up the dirt, and the Paw Print style has more patterns than the others.
