WARNING Newbies - DO NOT watch these videos and take them as gospel!

These video demos are extremely BAD! Beginners need more detailed instructions than these suggestions! Much omitted as "best practice" demo. level or below the level position so that any flakes or pieces of metal can fall off or be easily removed from the end holes. Important step! This person never mentions that the flare nut has to be put on the tube first. BIG MISTAKE! Also, the technician must make two or more complete revolutions of the eccentric cone after it hits the bottom to fully form and "carry" (flatten) the terminal cone of the flared joint. This is the purpose of the clutch mechanism. If you pay attention, you will notice that the auger moves forward a little, since the eccentric "cleans up” the cone shape with additional revolutions. Installing a Mini AC Split Unit "I hope this helps you who have never used this type of torch understand how to use it properly.

Pros
  • Unique Design: Look at the 4th and 5th pictures. The arrow on the tool and the slot on the side of the clamp ensure the correct position of the tool. The guide plate helps you quickly determine the ideal tube length over the clamp hole for the best flare size. When the flaring is complete, the clutch in the twist grip is released.
