This is a dream receiver that will help me get through the night. I have so many good things to say about this radio so I tried to organize this review because I could go on endlessly. We have laptops, Netflix, Amazon Video. forget the cable. I personally find them an eyesore. You don't see a radio, radios and speakers are usually built for functionality, not fashion. Not this radio! Fabulous! Even better in person! It's in the heart of my tiny apartment for easy access, but it deserves better window space. so voluminous. I'm listening to it right now, not loud, but the room is full of noise. FUNCTIONALITY I was looking for a speaker before I started looking for a radio and the upside for me was that this radio works BOTH. I was so impressed with the sound and excited about the news that I forgot about this feature at first. When the new episode of my favorite podcast came out, I was finally able to test the speaker function and it's perfect! TIP: I bought a small Bluetooth receiver to use instead of the extra cable (I bought it from TaoTronics, it's listed as an Amazon bestseller). COST: There are other similar radios that are much more expensive. Bought this for the price and at first I regretted my order (student on a budget) but when it arrived and I turned it on for the first time I realized the money was well spent. If you compare this to more expensive models, the difference in price doesn't indicate a difference in quality. RANGE: I receive radio stations from abroad and from cities over 100 miles away. I really like that when switching between channels the indicator turns green if you get a clear connection that doesn't last long. My car doesn't have that clarity. CONCLUSION: Extraordinary. I would recommend it to strangers rather than family or friends *because* I love showing it off. I'm thinking of an audition party. TL;DR GET IT!
