Review on ๐Ÿฑ SIVEIS Breakaway Cat Bowtie Collar with Bell 4-Pack - Comfortable Velvet Bow Tie Cat Collar: Adjustable, Cute Safety Buckle for Pet Kitten Cats & Puppies by Aaron Rosengren

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not without problems, but great overall!

The first thing that struck me upon arrival was that they were made of some sort of velvet or velor. The material is really tough and looks great and feels nice and soft. What I also like is that they are detachable collars, which I think are an absolute must when collaring a cat. The bow tie is trimmed with elastic rings that allow you to slide it over the collar while adjusting the size as needed. Snap is made in the shape of a cat with pointed ears. The quality is excellent but there were some flaws. So in this set you get Red, Purple, Black and Gray. All of them are usable except gray. It looks just like the others until you take it out of the box and try to adjust it. The gray is a slightly thicker collar with slightly thicker material which made it difficult to adjust as the buckles sink into the material and the buckles have some sort of ridge which I think should help maintain the collar's size. They've adjusted it so that you can't accidentally drag it around your neck when wearing it in any way. I mean don't get me wrong, you can customize it, it's just noticeably more complicated. But it wasn't really a problem. The real issue that renders this collar useless is the tear-off tab. One side is shaped like a cat like the other collars, but the insert has a completely different shape. It is shaped like a square faucet while others are shaped like a round fork. Unfortunately, the square tongue slides out too easily. It'll never stay, so I don't plan on doing a little tinkering and replacing the tear-offs with stronger ones, the gray collar won't do any good. Finally, the last problem with the remaining three collars is not of great importance and is easily fixed - the ears are on cat clasps. My oldest cat is almost 17 and the other two are 8 and 9, so I'm no stranger to cat-shaped clasps on detachable collars. The problem with this collar is that the ears are damn sharp. The first time I put one of the collars on my furry son it hit my leg and it hurt. Like he's scratching me with his claw, but I didn't really care about that. Well the next day it happened again and I had to figure out what the heck was causing the pain and it turned out there were ears sticking out of the roof of the car in the shape of a head. I didn't realize how sharp they were, but a quick and easy fix was to file them down with a nail file. Now they look more like teddy bear heads than cat heads. Problem solved. Despite the issues, these are really cute and durable collars. Even with the gray edition, I still think the price for red, purple and black is worth it and overall I would still order them again.
