Review on 4 Quart Stainless Steel Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer with Customizable Smart Cooking Programs, Digital Touchscreen, and Non-Stick Basket by Matt Reid

I had high hopes for this fryer and expected a lot more from this brand/company but I am very disappointed with my purchase. First, the air fryer itself is very elegant and good-looking, it is easy to use, but there are serious flaws in the design. The basket/rack at the bottom is unreliable and makes getting food out difficult as you can't just flip the basket over to put food on the plate or everything (food, bottom basket, grease) will spill out and fall on the floor . However, the most frustrating and biggest hurdle for me is not only the horrible plastic smell this air fryer gives off, but also the toxic plastic taste it imparts to the food! Because of this, anything cooked in it is inedible. I thought it might go away after a few uses but it doesn't. I thoroughly cleaned all the parts several times, ran them empty several times, poured into a pot filled with water and lemon juice, then water and vinegar, and did several rounds of chemical/plastic tasting food that had to be thrown away. Very disappointed as it is useless in my opinion due to the awful taste and likely toxic effects on my family's health. Do not buy! The plastic smell and PLASTIC TASTE have not gone away.
