I am by no means an expert, so please be gentle with your evaluations. On the other hand, I've been using DSLRs for close to four years now. Before that, I tried a whale 18-55, then a fifty bucks 1.8 (which I loved for portraits), then an 18-135 (which I kept for two years and sold after only one week of use), and finally, a sigma 75-300 (which I also quickly resold). My mind kept going to L-ke. For the time being, I decided to read. This is what I decided on. I dumped 18-135 for. The first thing I noticed was how FANTASTIC it was after I opened the package. How incredibly impressive! After strapping the 550D to my body and snapping a few photos, I checked my work on the computer and was satisfied with my decision. Pictures taken on the threshing floor. The white-to-black ratio has also shifted. My 550th used to always be discolored with age. Everything is humming with activity now. My recommendation: put your money into Lku. You get to pick which one applies. But after much agonizing, I finally decided, and I have no regrets. Only 24-105! I'll take the 24-105 plus $50 for a total of $1.8.
