This clear glass teapot was just what I was looking for. $14 isn't that bad. I love that I can see what's cooking and it's great to clean up with bottle cleaner, soap and water. Final Disclosure: The glass teapot comes with instructions. You can't cook anything there except water, you absolutely can't cook anything on high heat (the handle melts - as some have said this happened to them), you have to cook on medium heat, the handle doesn't heat up so you immediately after the Pour boiling water into the cup. The kettle comes with a heat sink for the open coils of the electric stove. And of course you should not leave the kettle unattended. As soon as it boils, the kettle will whistle, and then turn off the stove. Also, do not place a hot kettle on a cold surface or the glass will break. I hope this review influences your purchase. :)
