Love love love my Whistle Kettle! I've been using it for a month now and have no complaints! I freak out every time it comes time to use it for my coffee, tea or soups etc. lol. I recommend this product 100%. I've attached a video so you can see it in action! The whistle gets louder the hotter the water is!

I use this kettle to heat water for tea. I drink 3 different drinks several times a day. The water is perfect. I washed the kettle to remove the mineral deposits inside after a few weeks. How often depends on the amount of minerals in the water for each user. I took the photo above because it was an amazing sight with the sun's rays filtering through the prism in my window right through the steam above the kettle. Fabulous!

Why does this kettle have a high rating? I used it on my glass electric stove for 2 days and am disappointed. Not worth it if I have to improvise to use the product. - The lid has to be removed before pouring, which splashes HOT water on the stove and on me! So I don't attach the lid anymore. I just put it on top. After pouring you have to wipe the spout as it doesn't drip so I have to use both an oven mitt and kitchen towel to wipe the spout.

This is a whistling kettle. I can use it to boil water for tea. The lever/handle that you use to remove the whistle part is a bit short which means I burn my fingers with steam trying to remove it. Besides, he's very good. Oh I've only had it a week or two and it's developed a weird amber discoloration on the underside. This clear glass teapot was just what I was looking for. $14 isn't that bad. I love that I can see what's cooking and it's great to clean up with bottle cleaner, soap and water. You can't cook anything there except water, you absolutely can't cook anything on high heat (the handle melts - as some have said this happened to them), you have to cook on medium heat, the handle doesn't heat up so you immediately after the Pour boiling water
