This is a whistling kettle. I can use it to boil water for tea. The lever/handle that you use to remove the whistle part is a bit short which means I burn my fingers with steam trying to remove it. Besides, he's very good. Oh I've only had it a week or two and it's developed a weird amber discoloration on the underside. While this may be mine, I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem to affect functionality. TLDR: A good kettle that sometimes burns your fingers trying to remove the whistle because the whistle handle is too short.
