Taylor Spacer is better

I bought both Airaid Spacer and Taylor Cable Helix Power Spacer as I am a mechanical engineer and wanted to study and compare both spacers in my hands prior to installation to choose the best product. I have a 2009 Cadillac Escalade with a 6.2L LS engine (400hp stock) and already have the following items installed: - DiabloSport I3 computer tuner - K&N cold air intake, plastic tubing option - Powersports E3 high output spark plugs - Edelbrock 8.5mm spark. connector wires. Placing both pads back-to-back, I saw the obvious advantages of the Taylor Cable Helix Power Spacer over the Airaid pad. First off, the Taylor seal has a slightly smaller inside diameter, about 1/8 inch smaller than the Airaid seal. This means that the Taylor seal has more air compression, resulting in higher oxygen levels. The second benefit is that the Taylor Spacer reducer fins are milled in the same direction as the airflow, meaning there is no howling. Those two benefits alone made me install the Taylor Cable Helix gasket and return the Airaid gasket. It took me less than 15 minutes to install the gasket behind my air intake. I can tell a DEFINITE DIFFERENCE in both performance and sound when driving over 3000rpm. At lower speeds I can see that the torque has improved so that the motor doesn't downshift on light acceleration. At higher speeds with more throttle, I can feel more power with each shift, and the cold air intake sound now sounds a bit deeper and more muscular, without the hiss. If I go full throttle, I can reach 100 km/h in a few seconds. Then I plan to install a set of long Kooks headers and a full dual exhaust to get another 30 horsepower. and more mpg.
