It is very time consuming to use but saves time when sanding.
I use clear self-adhesive paper to create patterns, so I can just stick it to the glass surface and sand it to the edge without messing with marker lines that wash off. These scissors are tough. You won't always get a clean cut, but you have to think about how much time you'll save if you don't have to go back and forth to the sander a hundred times before and after foiling. In my opinion, it's worth taking the extra time and touching up with regular scissors if needed.
