I have long, fine hair. I try to wash it once a week or less to keep it healthy. I needed a brush that would take the oil from my scalp and roots and pull it to the ends of my hair which would allow me to stretch the time in between washes. This brush does a really good job and is an important part of my hair care routine. Very inexpensive for the quality. The only thing I would say that I would not use this as a detangling brush. I always make sure to use a wide tooth comb or a gentle hair brush to take out any knots before I run this brush to my hair.
