I have long, fine hair. I try to wash it once a week or less to keep it healthy. I needed a brush that would take the oil from my scalp and roots and pull it to the ends of my hair which would allow me to stretch the time in between washes. This brush does a really good job and is an important part of my hair care routine. Very inexpensive for the quality. The only thing I would say that I would not use this as a detangling brush. Many of the boar's hair brushes on the market are very pricey--I wanted the same effect, but at a lower price point. This brush delivers--the bristles and boar's hair helps make my hair shine, and the plastic bristles are great at removing knots. Very pleased with the purchase. Also comes with an implement to help remove hair from the brush--great idea!

I really love this brush. The bamboo is light and smooth and beautiful. I have long fine hair, it tangles like crazy, and the two types of bristles makes for a lot less pulling and breaking of my hair.

I have used some version of a paddle brush with the nylon/boar bristle combo for the last decade, but they have been harder and harder to find in store. I decided to purchase this one based on the positive reviews. It works reasonably well (though I can't really tell if there is a difference in how shiny my hair is), the price was very reasonable, but there is a strong rubber/plastic smell that has not gone away after 3 months of use. A bit off-putting.

This is a great brush! It's very light weight but extremely durable for my kinky 4B hair! I noticed very little breakage with this brush when I used it and my hair felt very soft afterwards. This is my new favorite brush!

I really liked the solid design and wanted the shine from the boar bristles. My hair is fairly thin but medium to long and tangles quite a lot at the back. The boar bristles give a nice shine, but only after I brush out the tangles with another brush. Fine brush for shine but doesn't do what is advertised.

I like the size of this brush! The construction seems pretty solid. I like the boar bristle rather than synthetic, it definitely adds shine! The plastic bristles aren't my favorite, but they do detangle without getting so hot that it burns my hair. Great for a nice straight blowout.

This is a very nice brush. I was still using the same stiff, plastic bristle brush I have had since high school (41 now). It seemed "good enough", but one day, in a pinch, I used my girlfriend's brush and knew it was time for an upgrade. I have very long, thick hair and other brushes were hurting me when I would brush post shower. This brush is significantly better. Add a detangler and you're golden. The brush is also super easy to clean/remove hair from. Quality is high and the brush is heavy/sturdy. Definitely recommend!

At first I liked the brush. However, I do feel like the boar bristle should be longer. I’ve had the brush for 2 months now and the boar bristles are about 50% gone. Anytime I clean it with the brush cleaner that was provided, bristles fall out and break off left and right. It is also a dust magnet. Idk where the dust is coming from, since . I keep my place and brush super clean. I now have to buy another new brush.

The brush has been great for both of my daughters. They both have thick hair and this brush has been amazing at getting tangles out. Only reason for 4 stars is because a few bristles have come out of both. Good Value!

I ordered this brush with the brush cleaner and it arrived without the brush cleaner. I contacted customer service and they replaced it immediately. Good brush. While cleaning it, a couple of the nylon brush tips came off but so far it hasn’t scratched my scalp. The boar bristles are nice and full.
