Review on HYDE 19410 Ceramic Tile Carbide Cutter, Orange by Mark Patterson

I was nervous about buying this due to the low amount of reviews and how wildly they varied.I have minimal tile work experience and didn’t feel like renting a wet saw for the small backsplash I was doing.The tool takes some practice, and definitely make sure you have extra tiles. It was very proficient at splitting 3x6 tiles in about half, but wasn’t good for clean trims on tiny spaces. Had to adjust the design to accommodate. Also, consider your grout color. If you’re doing high contrast, this may not be the best. However, I was doing white tile with white grout. If the edges weren’t perfectly straight it wasn’t too visible.Overall, I would definitely recommend for small projects for the price.
