Thin cheap metal in kitchen and dining room

They are made of thin cheap metal. They appear to be accurate, but after being put in the dishwasher they discolor (turning to gold/bronze in some places) and the handles are starting to come loose. I only use them to distribute food to my dogs so I don't overuse them.
