Review on Scalpmaster SC CLEAN2 Brush Comb Cleaner by Candice Cooksey

The product on the picture looks MUCH bigger than it really is! It's not very big and can only clean very small combs, and they have to be thin to fit in the "rotary brush" cleaning mechanism. Also appearing in the picture is that the handle is much longer and is made of rubber, but it is made of plastic and is about 3 inches long. The overall quality is also disappointing as it feels like very cheap plastic that probably won't last very long. However I think you get what you pay for - for the low price it's a decent product and does help somewhat with cleaning some of my combs but I don't expect it to last that long. Still a pretty good buy considering the price and the fact that it helps clean combs, but not as good as I was hoping or not as versatile. I would definitely warn anyone against trying to use the top of the 'rake' to clean the brush as the 'rake' is made out of quite flimsy plastic and will most likely break/chip off if you try to use it on hair to remove the brush (buy another product for cleaning brushes with metal prongs/teeth - it's much more durable and effective, from someone who has tried a lot). Overall this product is fine and performs as well as you might expect. Just read the description carefully so you know what you are getting as the pictures are a little deceiving. I hope someone finds this useful because when I went to buy it there weren't many reviews or recent photos!
