Scalpmaster SC CLEAN2 Brush Comb Cleaner Review

Rotating brush slips out of its holder with each revolution and bristles are too soft. I wanted to go back, but the cat took away part of the brush to add to his "mouse" collection.

Cleaned my boar bristle brush very well. It didn't remove ALL of the hair but was able to capture most of it as well as the accumulated frizz. I did a final clean with an all natural shampoo and quickly soaked the bristles in hot water.

The product on the picture looks MUCH bigger than it really is! It's not very big and can only clean very small combs, and they have to be thin to fit in the "rotary brush" cleaning mechanism. Also appearing in the picture is that the handle is much longer and is made of rubber, but it is made of plastic and is about 3 inches long. I have to admit it took me a few minutes to figure out how to use this brush cleaner most effectively. Brush with the "toothed" end like a rake. But what was AWESOME about this brush cleaner is that you can remove the little rings of lint around the base of the hairbrush bristles! Rolling the brush cleaner (part of the bristles) quickly back and forth (towards the roller) over the comb will remove any rings of lint; I recommend doing this over the sink for easier cleaning. I'm looking at the thing now and my numerous dirty brushes and combs that still need cleaning. This thing is cheap, especially for the quality. It's too easy to clean everything adults use. And it's not worth my time and effort to send it back through the UPS store! Maybe I'll give it. The dumb plastic end of a comb can clean someone's comb or brush for children, since children's combs don't get very dirty anyway. It's easier than soaking combs and brushing with a toothbrush. However, because the roller brush rotates, it doesn't grab or hold dirt like a fixed brush. So I hold the brush with my hand so it doesn't roll away. It's easier than soaking. That's why it gets four stars.

I LOVE IT! The best I've invested in! Thanks to this, I don't have to worry about spreading unwanted germs or bacteria over my customers! Just cleaning and disinfecting wasn't enough. This goes deep into the lunula of the comb and gets the hair! I would recommend to any beautician!

Useless middle brush area. Do nothing. The upper teeth break easily. I was looking for a cleaner for my brushes. That's not it!

I was going to buy a new brush. Couldn't get my hair out. I'm sure I'm glad I bought this one instead. You can't just pull. So I cut through all the layers between the bristles, put the magic thing in there and pulled. The hair came off like a little rug, all in one piece. About two minutes passed. My brush is like new again! 🤗
