Purchased for the switch. Haven't tried it on another system yet. Contacted quickly and easily. It stayed paired with the Switch every time I turned it on to use it. Much more convenient than playing with small semi-switch controllers, so it's easier for me to play against kids. Fits and looks like a slightly oversized SNES controller. It's much easier to use a d-pad as well as a joystick. I also play 8 and 16 bit games from the Nintendo archive and the D-Pad is much more natural. A small fraction of a second delay between pressing the button and the action on the screen. Maybe it's because I'm running it on TV? The lag is enough to make the gameplay feel raw, but not enough to make it unplayable. Missed doors and lost hearts in Zelda and Mario are missing platforms, but modern games don't need that level of sophistication, so new games should be easy to play with an 8bitdo controller. I still finish Mario Kart 8 in 1st place regularly. There's something about modern games and their simplicity despite "better" graphics and technology, but this is an overview of the controller, not the gaming industry and modern society. Edit: Both shoulder buttons AND the Start/+ button no longer work. It lasted about a year with Lichtspiel. I used it to play with my daughter but since the newer two player games aren't that great we played together for the first time in a long time. The shelf life is just over 1 year even with very little use. I would not recommend this controller more. I will only use licensed equipment for more money than trading junk.
