sn30 pro is essential

8bitdo sn30 pro is absolutely amazing. After a few hours of charging and a very quick firmware update (firmware update before first pairing is a must) this controller starts working immediately with flawless performance. It feels very durable. High quality. Maybe even better than the original SNES controller. The keys are clear and responsive. I bought this specifically for my Switch to use when playing the SNES online and a few select new releases, but honestly it could be used for almost any…

Just buy 1, 2 or 3.

Purchased for use with Nintendo Switch. I already had and liked the FC30 Pro and it's just as good. No way are we going to mix up the first and second player controllers. However, make sure to update the firmware. To be honest I love the feel of these controllers. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I honestly prefer the feel of them over a modern controller. I don't know what else to say, if you're looking for a classic controller to play on Switch, PC, Android or iOS, this is the controller for you…

It's a mix of accessories

Trying not to use three different button layouts, I thought this controller was close to a joycon configuration, compact in the hand and feels nostalgic. It arouses nostalgia. Pros: Well made, good packaging, good size in hand. Cons: It was the hardest to get and stay paired with every controller I've used, covering the Joycon Pro and 3 other third parties, but we're talking 5 minutes instead of 2. Also, with no wake support, it takes the console, to wake her up. The extra left joystick is…

This works better than I thought!

Possibly one of the best third party gamepad controllers I've ever used. I can connect it to my Windows 10 desktop, Nintendo Switch and 8bitdo Retro Receiver. To wake up the controller, use the appropriate input method described in the manual: Nintendo Switch (Y + START) Android/Retro Receiver (B + START) Windows (X + START) macOS (A + START) TIP: Hold down the appropriate dial key (B,A,Y,X), then touch the START button while holding the face button and release both buttons. No need to press at

Unusual and awesome SNES controller!

If you've always wanted a SNES controller with all the bells and whistles of a modern controller, this is the one for you. In addition to the classic controls, you get two analog sticks and not two, but four shoulder buttons! This makes it ideal for use with the Switch without too much trouble! It has always been difficult for third parties to accurately match the classic SNES controllers, but 8Bit really gets the job done. If anything, it feels responsive and familiar. It also has a damn…

It only took a year before the button electronics broke.

Purchased for the switch. Haven't tried it on another system yet. Contacted quickly and easily. It stayed paired with the Switch every time I turned it on to use it. Much more convenient than playing with small semi-switch controllers, so it's easier for me to play against kids. Fits and looks like a slightly oversized SNES controller. It's much easier to use a d-pad as well as a joystick. I also play 8 and 16 bit games from the Nintendo archive and the D-Pad is much more natural. A small…

Hands down the best retro controller

First off, let me say yes, it's a bit pricey. I bought it to use with a Raspberry Pi which I have previously used a cheap XBox One controller that I bought for $20. Initially, despite the rave reviews I had seen for this product, I was hesitant to order it because the XBox controller worked well and I thought the tiny SNES-style controller would not be as comfortable. But after getting my hands on it and using it for a few days, I wouldn't go back to it. For 2D games there is no comparison. The

Good nostalgia. Error before firmware update. A familiar feeling.

Update the firmware before doing anything else: After unboxing and charging the controller, I plugged it into my computer to check Steam compatibility. I was only aware of this because I have a Steam desktop connected to my TV and the less I have to use the wireless keyboard/mouse from the couch the better for me. Everything worked great. During X-type, the controller's home button opens the large Steam image, just like I was hoping for. Then I connected it to my switch. The SNES and NES…
