Although I own a laptop, the feel and look of the metal material on this stand reminds me of Mac laptops, but it fits perfectly. Assembly was easy, just a few small screws and a small screwdriver was included. I have an old large 17" laptop which is a bit plastic and therefore bulkier than most laptops, but this stand still holds up very well. The little silicone grips keep my laptop in place even when I'm typing on the laptop's keyboard instead of a keyboard. separate keyboard; The angle at which the tray holds it also allows for comfortable typing on the laptop. This is especially helpful for the time I spend scrolling/reading on the computer as I am leaning against my desk, but with the laptop at eye level I have better posture, a straighter spine and neck and therefore less back pain Computer. This is a great seat height for me (even though I'm only 5ft 3in). The only thing I could wish for in a laptop stand is that it converts to a standing position, but that's another game.
