I bought Freewire in December 2018. I couldn't get the device to work at all and was finally able to get a replacement from Sena. This one has been working fine since 2019, but this summer (2021) I lost the ability to use bike voice commands. I had an old DIN cable from the first Freewire and tried it. There was no sound and voice commands didn't work either (I now believe it was a cable issue with the original Freewire). Since I'm not having any audio or voice issues communicating with the paired headset, I assume the DIN cable has failed. I only disconnect from the bike or Freewire with a connector on the cable (I don't pull on the cable). Two bad DIN cables in 2 years sounds like the Sena is struggling. A replacement cable costs nearly $40, which seems excessive given the cost of the Freewire.
