I needed a basic speaker to listen to music, watch movies/shows/YouTube and small desktop games. Before settling on the MICA I considered the Bose Companion 2 Series 3 and am glad I chose the MICA simply for the price and the look of the speaker. I'm sure Bose speakers would be nice, but I wasn't looking for nice, crystal clear, or bass-heavy speakers; just a simple and cool looking soundbar. I like the style of MICA, it reminds me of a guitar amp and that alone won me over. Sound for $35, I'm happy with how loud it is. To describe the sound it's pretty flat overall, but I'm fine with that too. Another big plus for me is that the speaker is USB powered.
