I connected mine to a standard faucet where we only use the cold side to fill jugs with drinking water. Whenever there is a major change in pressure, e.g. B. When the water supply is turned off to replace a damper for a toilet bowl, there is a slight backflow at the filter from some air trapped on the hot water side of a single lever faucet. A plume of a mixture of pure black carbon and water then emerges from each faucet downstream. I took water samples in our area when it was filtered through a good quality carbon filtered hot/cold water dispenser. It tastes great compared to what I get. Of course, these filters have much lower flow rates.
