I have several wheel markers, some from Kevin Drake (TiteMark), Taylor Tools and iGaging. TiteMark, Taylor instruments and Clark Brothers probes are similar. They work the same way. The Clark Brothers gauge is not built to the same standard as the TiteMark, but costs about a third less. The biggest difference is that the Clark Brother pressure gauge has more adjustment options. This isn't a bad thing, but it does indicate that the tool wasn't made to TiteMark specifications. The cut-off wheel is sharp, but not as sharp as the TiteMark. You could probably improve it by sharpening it. Remove it from the beam and place it face down on the whetstone. Put your finger on it and run it over the stone. The TiteMark wheel slides onto a Clark Brothers bar so you can replace it if you can't sharpen it. But the sharpness is acceptable - could be better. The markers on the bar are essentially useless and should be ignored. Use a rule to set the distance if you want, or set the distance based on what you're doing in the tree. All in all, this is a decent mark sensor, especially for the price. My advice to Clark Brothers is to improve the dial's fit so the threads don't play as much.
