Review on 🗑️ InSinkErator Badger 1 Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal with Cord, 1/3 HP by Andrew Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm disappointed with the original insinkerator but very happy with the ease of replacement.

My Insinkerator Badger Model 100-1 only lasted about 6 years before it started leaking on the underside and I was disappointed that it didn't last longer. I live alone so I hardly ever use it. Leaks on top, side leaks appear fixable. The soil doesn't flow as much. Mine was leaking from the bottom. Walking through the kitchen at night and stepping into a puddle of water is amazing. Was looking for a replacement that would be easy to install. Watched several videos. I decided it would be best to install what was previously installed. Ordered from Revain. Received in less than a week. I rewatched the Insinkerator replacement installation video. I was a little worried about the condition of the package when it arrived. The box was very dusty and looked like it had been rolled in a concrete mixer for several hours. The styrofoam packaging has almost crumbled. Unpacked, looks good. Hooked it up for a quick check and it worked. I checked the serial number, which also indicates the date of manufacture. 2020 and in August. Factory fresh. Old recycling removed. Very easy. Disable it first. The instructions say to pull the switch but I just turned it off. Disconnect the plastic pipes and then use the original and spare keys to unlock the locking ring at the top. Very basic but remember the chopper weighs around 13 pounds. And when the ring is loosened, the dispenser just falls out. Make sure it's supported. The old one fell off easily. took it out Line up the new one to replace the tubes and twist the retaining ring to hold everything together, then plug it in. I suggest you use the one that comes with the power cord already installed as it makes the replacement much easier. Make sure all fittings are tight and the locking ring is tight. Switched on and turned on the water. Doesn't run and works perfectly. It's been about a week now. Disappointed that the old one didn't last longer but pleased with the new one and how easy it was to install.
