Amazing Pencils

I'm always on the lookout for colored pencils in different skin tones. Finding the right combination of pens to get a nice skin tone for some colors can be difficult, so I like to expand my options. It's one level so you don't have to move the trays back and forth. ARE THESE SHARPENED? The texture is firmer but not as firm as Derwent Artists pencils. They are more like some of the really good brands like Cezanne, Schpirerr Farben or even Soucolor. I wouldn't put them in the same class as Caran D'Ache, Holbein or Polychromos. COLOR CHOICE The color palette is very pleasing and allows you to create great combinations of skin tones. In addition, it has some good colors for the iris and lips, as well as blush and hair. COATS I have found that they apply in multiple coats anyway with no issues with blooming. Making sure you use good paper with a good tooth to help with layering is a plus. On normal coloring book pages with these pens it can be more difficult to layer many layers. While not top notch, they perform decently and I would recommend them to artists who are on a budget but need good color for portraits. MY RATES ARE FIVE STARS. Whatever they are I love these pencils and will use them in combination with other pencils for work I don't want to sell or keep as a souvenir.
