This item does not come with an AC cord prewired; Not the plug end, anyway. There is a prewired pigtail on the device side with a 3-conductor barrel connector, but you have to wire the plug if you're going to use a receptacle to power this. Let me start by saying I am an Electrical Engineer and not some novice with no business wiring high voltage. That said, the factory wired their side with the ground and hot reversed! What this causes is for the live side of 120 or 240 (wide voltage input) to be DIRECTLY CONNECTED to the case of the device, which has no ground because of their negligence! That's a direct short to the connection point and is potentially lethal if your connection point is not grounded. My building is a metal structure and the safety cable arced through the zinc coating before the 20A breaker blew. It also arced the dielectric on the GFCI receptacle and it must be replaced. That, alone, is $29 just for the part!The company, Hykolity, (ShenZhen RunSenSheng Trading Co.,Ltd) has ignored my requests to remedy the damage at cost. STAY AWAY FROM THIS product and company! It could have killed someone!
