Review on Simran AR-5000 Voltage Converter Transformer Regulator - 5000W, Ivory/Grey: Efficient Power Conversion for International Usage by Alan Singh

This is the second Simran voltage converter I've bought, the first was the AR-4000. I've been using both in the UK for almost 3 years and haven't had any problems. One of the nice features is the audible "click" sound when the voltage increases or decreases, and the ability to see the input voltage in the display window. And it's nice to know that all my electronics are still working. the same constant excitement they need, and their lives will not be cut short by the ever-changing stresses of travel. I have just one caveat of interest. As the Transformer is quite heavy and transportation is quite unpredictable...I strongly recommend removing the cover after taking it out of the box. The reason for this is to ensure that none of the wire connections come loose during shipping as you may find that the transformer itself wobbles/loosens a bit. On my first Simran AR-4000 the ground wire was completely disconnected from the screw it was under...simply due to the weight of the transformer moving back and forth during shipping (it's quite heavy).
